About Us
At Daisy & Olive Music Company, rich, educational lessons for adults and teens are balanced with playfulness and whimsy.
We believe that music making leads to joy and catharsis. While we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we are very serious about our work and play.

Our Offerings
At Daisy & Olive Music Company, we offer personalized lessons for adults and teens focusing on singing, speaking, audition preparation, artistic development, and vocal health. We also host Studio Gatherings throughout the year to foster community amongst our students.

Voice Lessons
One-on-one lessons are built to meet your needs and goals. We co-create a toolbox of exercises through exploration that can support how you want to use your voice, whether that be through singing or speaking. Lessons are available in-person or online.

Hear from our students
The atmosphere is very supportive and positive. Alexandra is very thorough, patient, creative, and flexible in her approach to music instruction. Plus, she makes the lessons fun!!
Christine, voice student
Alexandra is one of the best teachers my daughter has ever had. For the last year she has taught Maggie so much and has coached her into a musical theater scholarship and coveted spot at Indiana University. The quality and control of her voice has become amazing and her knowledge of music has strengthened significantly. I can’t thank Alexandra enough for what she’s done for my daughter’s confidence and abilities.
Robin, Maggie’s mom
It’s safe to say that Alexandra has established a true gem in the city and an amazing opportunity for vocalists to explore the depths of their instruments.

Meet Alexandra

Alexandra Plattos Sulack (she/her), founder and lead instructor, is an award-winning performer, singer, teacher, and coach based in Chicago. She has over 10 years of teaching experience working with adults, teens, and children, from beginners to professionals.
Alexandra’s work centers around meeting voice users where they are and co-creating a plan steeped in pedagogy and play, so that their free voice (singing or speaking) can emerge. She believes that a voice can be free when we serve and care for the individual.
In addition to teaching individual lessons, Alexandra enjoys working with other educators and music/theater makers, sharing her voice knowledge for serving the trans and non-binary community, creating gender-affirming spaces, creating brave spaces, infusing play into our work, and transformational teaching.
Alexandra is a proud member of the National Association for Teachers for Singing (NATS), and The Voice Foundation. In 2024, she presented Play as Gender-Affirming Voice Care for the 50th Annual Conference for The Association for the Study of Play at the Museum of Play in Rochester, New York. She has also presented at conferences for the National Association for Teachers for Singing and The Voice Foundation.
Alexandra holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from North Park University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Vocal Health First Aider through Vocal Health Education, Ltd., and has completed all three levels of Somatic Voicework™ and two levels of Estill Voice Training®.
